TabToolkit App Reviews

Good App

You are suppose to put in the tabs with a computer. Come on quit being dumb.

Worth buying device for this app

I have an iTouch. This app is so good, I might buy an iPad just to use it. Great work!

Im confused about some of the complaints here?? This is a great app, its very easy to use and it has a logical layout. The customer service support is superb and very quick; the support tab is located within the app itself and each time I sent them a question I received a response within 24 hours, usually within just a couple of hours! This app is a win-win whether youre a guitar newbie or a guitar pro. Im very pleased, thank you!

Do not buy

Do not buy this app, it has no valuable features, and is designed to get you to buy tabs.

Pointless...

Whats the point of buying it if youre just going to buy more?

Does not work

Crashes when you try to open it...

Unless!!! Buaaaaa!!!

I regret updating it now It just became a peace Of garbage!!!!!!!!!! I pay $10 dollars for this app it use to be so great till I update, I wonder why they drop the price so low!! Thats bullship!!! Rip offs!

Excellent!

Previous reviews say this app is just to get you to buy tabs, but this is not true! It is incredibly easy to add tabs from other sources. You can add Guitar Pro and other "rich" tabs, PDF, or even just plain text -- this is one of the best features of the app! Overall it is a fantastic way to learn new songs and keep my song book organized. Things that could be better: 1. The selection of tabs in the Agile tab store is pathetic. Id happily pay 99 cents for a good quality tab, but there is nothing there I want; 2. It would be really nice to have better organization of tabs Ive added, and to have syncing between multiple devices. But this app is worth far more than they charge and a far better value than Sonsterr or the various confusing UG apps, which make you pay a subscription fee.

Dont buy

No music worth time learning unless you "BUY" extra for a dollar each, complete rip off and should inform people that this app only is for certain uses and does not have a tab library to go off of. Save your money and look into other apps if you are looking for a tool to learn songs off of.

Don’t read the negative reviews. This software is awesome!

It went on sale for a dollar and I purchased it regardless of the reviews. Once I had a chance to use it I found it to be the best pro tab software available. It crashes now and then but honestly I don’t mind. It has so many features including speed, instrument volumes and scrolling directions that I overlook the occasional bug. It has a tab store where you can purchase songs for a dollar. However, you can also load them into the app from the various other website that offer them. I found the purchased songs to be of higher quality. If you play any instrument: piano, guitar, drums, bass…. you owe it to yourself to get this app.

Great app

I have no clue why people are giving one star reviews. YES there is a tab store where you can buy tabs. But you can easily download tabs from ultimate guitar directly to the app. Guitar pro and power tab work on this app. It is a great learning app for a mobile device. For just a tab viewer app,you can do some really cool things on this

What does this app even do?

Everything I search for it doesnt have. No Paul Simon. Really!? Its just lame.

Crashes

Every time I open it it waits for about 20 seconds then crashes on iOS 7

Shredd

I expected SONGS from this century, theyre there for an extra .99 cents each. Or you can stick with finger exercises and Beethoven. Really? Beethoven.

Best iPad app for drum practice, hands down.

I’ve tried pretty much every drum tab and sheet music app out there for iPad, and this is by far the best. The $0.99 tab store songs are great, though a bit dated (great for me, being a child of the 80s) - but keep in mind you can add your own tabs and sheet music at no cost. On that note, it renders and plays back Guitar Pro files better than Guitar Pro’s own iPad app! (I bought the GP app and still prefer TabToolkit for my GP drum tab files.) My only suggestion for improvement would be to lose the :3000 upload page and instead use the iTunes file manager thing (iTunes -> (ipad) -> Apps -> (click app) -> Manage Files, whatever that’s called), as it’s more convenient to add files to apps from another room if your iPad typically lives on a different floor than your computer. Agile Partners, keep up the great work, and aspiring musicians and hobbyists, give this a download.

Love it so much!

This app is so awesome I use it all the time to learn the drum parts to my favorite songs. Its amazing!

mr.

Very limited number of songs come with purchase of this app, so expect to spend .99 for every song you want tab for. Would have been more honest to not include any songs and explain that you pay for each song.

Must buy for tab players

Not sure why there are reviews complaining that this app comes with a few public domain songs to showcase how the app works. You are purchasing a viewer/player similar to Guitar Pro, Power Tab, TuxTab, etc. and not licensing music. Its a solid app that allows you to easily open your existing Guitar Pro and Power Tab format files.

Sounds awful

When you play songs it doesnt sound like a guitar, it sounds like a cheap toy piano. I dont plan to use this app and I wish I could get my money back.

Don’t bother

Kinda wish I’d known how limited the song selection was. Really, there are about 1000 songs here… which sounds like a lot until you see that some of them are old washed-up bands like Meatloaf, America, or Wham. I wouldn’t mind paying for songs I wanted, but I didn’t find a single song that was worth paying for. Added to the problem is that I was mostly interested in the bass lines, and there are only about 600 of those. Compare that to a competitor’s app which advertises about 400,000 songs. Now that’s a playlist!
